Internet Interests is a UK company that builds and runs internet businesses.
We start businesses ourselves and stay involved in them for the long term. Some of them may have their own names, products, websites, and customers, but Internet Interests remains the company behind them.
The work usually starts with an idea that looks worth pursuing. From there we work out what the product needs to be, how it should work, how people will use it, and what needs to exist around it for the business to operate properly.
We do not see launching as the end of that process. Putting a product online is only the point where it starts being used in the real world. That is when problems become clearer, customer expectations become real, and decisions stop being based only on what we thought would happen before launch.
Running the business means staying close to all of that.
It means maintaining the product, improving the parts that need work, dealing with technical problems, supporting customers, keeping the systems behind the business working, and making decisions about what should change next.
We prefer that responsibility to stay with us rather than building something and handing it over once the first version is finished. The people making decisions about a business should understand the product and the work behind it.
Internet Interests is not limited to one kind of product or one market. The businesses we create can be different from one another and can serve different groups of customers. What connects them is that they are built to operate online and are developed and run by the same company.
Being based in the United Kingdom gives Internet Interests a home, but the businesses themselves are not tied to one place. An online business can reach customers in different countries, operate without depending on a physical location, and grow without needing to become a traditional company with offices everywhere it serves.
We keep Internet Interests small on purpose.
We would rather stay directly involved in the businesses we operate than create layers between the company and the products it owns. That makes it easier to understand what is happening, make decisions quickly, and keep responsibility close to the people doing the work.
The company will change as new businesses are created and existing ones develop, but the basic idea behind Internet Interests is simple.
